Objects

Objects at SEN are introduced slowly.

Each tool or sheet of paper appears here only after time spent using it in daily work, study, and writing.

Selection is guided by balance, material, and clarity in use. Objects are not chosen to impress, but to remain — becoming familiar through repetition rather than novelty.

Penco Prime Timber 2.0 Pencil

Pencil · Japan

A wooden pencil designed with restraint, weight, and balance in mind. The Prime Timber 2.0 feels deliberate in the hand, with a solid core and a surface that encourages slower, more thoughtful use.

Placed between drafting and note-making, it supports sketching ideas, structuring thoughts, and working through problems where erasure and revision are part of the process.

Used for outlining, exploratory thinking, and working notes.

Penco Lead Sharpener

Lead sharpener · Japan

A compact tool designed to maintain consistency rather than create it.

Used to refresh graphite leads without interruption, the sharpener allows writing to continue without breaking rhythm or attention.
Unlike sharpening a pencil, working with a lead sharpener is incremental — a small correction rather than a reset.

Used during long writing sessions to maintain line quality and pressure.

Kokuyo Campus Note Grid A5 Black

Notebook · Japan

A notebook designed for everyday writing, where structure supports rhythm rather than interrupting it.

The Campus disc-bound format allows pages to open flat and remain stable while writing. The smaller discs stay out of the hand’s path, making it comfortable to write on both sides of the page without adjustment or pause. Paired with a ballpoint pen, the paper maintains clarity and consistency, supporting longer writing sessions without fatigue or distraction.

Used for meeting notes, daily writing and structured thinking.

Kokuyo Campus Scribing Ruler (15 cm)

Ruler · Japan

A simple, transparent ruler designed to guide rather than dictate.

Used primarily to set margins, underline headings or create quiet structure on the page, it supports writing without drawing attention to itself. The transparency allows the text beneath to remain visible, keeping alignment precise while preserving flow.

Used for margin setting, light structuring and measured alignment.
